Position Overview

The Student Counsellor will be responsible for providing professional guidance and

counselling services to students seeking overseas education opportunities. The role

involves understanding individual student profiles, career aspirations, and academic

backgrounds to recommend suitable programs and institutions. The counsellor will

also be responsible for managing admissions and visa processes in coordination with

internal teams and partner institutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and up-to-date counselling to students and parents on

overseas education options, course selection, admission requirements, and

destination-specific guidelines.

• Advise students on application procedures, documentation, scholarships, and

visa formalities.

• Manage the end-to-end admission process, ensuring a seamless experience from

enquiry to enrolment.

• Maintain updated knowledge of international education systems, program

offerings, and university partnerships.

• Participate in student orientation sessions, seminars, and educational fairs

organised by the company.

• Ensure timely follow-ups with prospective students and maintain records of all

interactions in the CRM system.

• Achieve defined targets for student enrolments and conversions.

• Establish and maintain effective communication with students, parents, and

institutional representatives.

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

• High level of professionalism, integrity, and student-centric approach.

• Good understanding of international higher education systems (USA, UK,

Canada, Australia, Europe, etc.) (Not Mandatory)

• Ability to manage multiple student cases and meet deadlines efficiently.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM tools.

• Speaking Telugu and English is mandatory.

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business

Administration, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in overseas education counselling or academic advising.

• Fresh graduates with excellent communication and presentation skills may also

be considered.

• Prior experience with international summer school or short-term academic

programs will be an advantage.
